What are L'Wren's hours?
Sunday through Thursday 4 PM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday 4 PM to 1 AM. Holiday hours are posted on Instagram.
When is happy hour?
Every day until 7 PM: $2 off every drink on the menu, including cocktails, pitchers, wine, beer and hard seltzer. Details on the happy hour page.
Do you take reservations?
Walk-ins are always welcome. For groups of six or more, or if you want to hold a specific table or the back room, email lwrenbar@gmail.com with the date, time and headcount and we'll set it up.
Can I book L'Wren for a private event?
Yes. We host birthdays, engagement parties, milestone celebrations and corporate events. Tasting menus start at $25 per person and two-hour open-bar packages run $40 to $60 per person. See the private events page for packages and the inquiry form.
What's the comedy show?
L'Wren is home to Sunset Park Comedy Club, a stand-up room in the rear of the bar. Shows run Thursday and Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 7 PM, doors 30 minutes before. Tickets are $12 to $20 on Eventbrite, there's no drink minimum, and it's 21+. Dates and tickets are on the comedy page.
Do I need a ticket to come to the bar on a show night?
No. The front bar is open to everyone as usual. The ticket is only for the comedy room in the back.
What kind of food do you serve?
Shareable bites: Korean style wings, sticky ribs, cheeseburger and chicken sliders, chicken tostadas, fried shrimp, Thai salmon, mac n cheese bites, tots, chips with salsa or guacamole, a kale Caesar and warm doughnuts. The full menu has prices.
Are there vegetarian or vegan options?
Plenty. Cauliflower bites, vegetarian tostadas, Beyond Burger sliders, vegetarian mac n cheese bites, tots or fries, kale Caesar, and chips with salsa or guacamole (both vegan). Tell your bartender about any allergy.
What's on the drinks list?
A cocktail list built around mezcal, tequila, whiskey and gin, most available by the glass or the pitcher, plus a $35 sharing fish bowl. Wine by the glass and bottle from small producers, four rotating local drafts, cans and bottles, hard seltzer and a non-alcoholic Heineken 0.0.
Can I order pickup or delivery?
Yes. Order direct for pickup through Toast, or get delivery through Seamless or Grubhub. Links are on the home page.
Where exactly are you, and what's the closest train?
4004 5th Ave, between 40th and 41st Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, one block from the park. Take the R to 45th St or the D, N or R to 36th St; both are about a 7 to 8 minute walk. The B63 bus stops on 5th Ave right outside. Map and directions.
Is there outdoor seating?
Seasonally, yes. When the weather cooperates we have seating out front on 5th Ave. Follow @lwrenbar for the latest.
What's the $35 open bar?
A 90-minute open bar for $35 per person, available in the afternoon from 2:30 to 6 PM. It's meant for groups: birthdays, showers, team outings. Email lwrenbar@gmail.com to arrange it.
